Does Permanent Makeup (PMU) hurt?I use the most popular numbing cream on the market to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. Although everyone’s pain tolerance is different, the general response is that microblading feels like a scratch or papercut. If you are too uncomfortable, we also have a secondary numbing gel which we can apply during the microblading process on your open skin. If you have a very low pain tolerance or extreme skin sensitivity, try not to book your appointment during your menstrual cycle.
-
How long does it lastMicroblading can last up to 3 years on the right skin type. But like previously stated, everyone has different pigment retention. Taking care of your eyebrows during the healing process (the first 7-10 days) is crucial in helping with the longevity of your new brows. To maintain your perfect brow long term, you will need to continue touch ups approximately every 12-18 months.
-
How do we pick the color? As a rule of thumb, we closely match the color of your brow hair rather than your current hair color. For some reason a lot of clients first concern is that they will have black eyebrows- please do not worry- you will NOT be given black eyebrows unless thats what you want, and it matches your brow hairs. I have a color chart so we can pick the color together and ensure it's what is right for you.

What is the difference between permanent makeup and body tattooing? It is a form of tattoo, although different techniques and pigments are used. Because it is semi-permanent cosmetics, it will not stay forever like a regular tattoo but it requires the same healing process. The color results are a much softer and more natural look than a regular tattoo.

What is the difference between Microblading and Powdered Ombre brow?Microblading is tattooing individual, angled hair strokes that mimic your natural hair to acheive higher density. The pigment is implanted into the skin manually, stroke by stroke during your brow session. Powdered ombre eyebrows once healed look like perfectly shaped eyebrows that are lighter in the front and will gradually go darker towards the tail. The end result is a defined shape that is soft and powdery looking. Powdered ombre fades 35% on average from the initial. Your artist can help you pick the right service for you.

How will I look and feel after the appointment?Your permanent makeup may feel sharp and crisp for the first few days. This will gradually soften over the course of a 7-10 days. If you are very sensitive and experience any swelling, you may use a soft ice pack from the fridge (not the freezer) You will need to avoid certain activities for 7-10 days- pools, jacuzzis, hot tubs, saunas, hot yoga, facials and any excessive sweating. You should not use makeup on the affected area during the healing process. For some, the area may also be reddish and tender, so be gentle with your skin during the healing process and keep in mind the after care instructions provided to you.
-
When will I see my final results? At first, the pigment may feel too dark. Then, after 1 week it may appear much too light. The final colour will not “settle” for about 6 weeks. Around 6-8 weeks you will return for your touch up. At the second treatment, we will assess the colour retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates.
-
Do you need to shave off my eyebrows? No, we incorporate as much of the natural brow hairs as possible. Any stray hairs that lay outside of the brow design may be removed.
-
What if I have work from another artist? Please email/text us photos of your eyebrows prior to trying to make an appointment to make sure your technician is able to do cover up/correction or touch up work. As a new client, it is a full priced appointment. Touch up prices are for repeat clients only.

What does Nano Liner Eyelash Enhancement feel like? Most say eyeliner hurts the least out of all cosmetic procedures! A highly-effective, topical anesthetic cream and gel are used for numbing before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure. If you are on your menstrual cycle you will be a bit more sensitive towards the pain. Most clients only experience the vibration of the tattoo gun against their eyelid.
-
What if I open my eye during the Nano Liner procedure? This is nearly impossible as your lid is being held firmly. Also our general reaction to pain or when flinching is actually to close our eyes tightly. The tattoo gun used is small and easy to control.
